SIQMA CRID accelerates refuelling operations at Aral

Last update: | Advertorial

The first devices of the new system generation SIQMA CRID are currently proving themselves in pilot operation at Aral in Luxembourg.

The largest petrol station in the European Aral network, Berchem in Luxembourg, tests the new equipment on a passenger car lane. The new SIQMA CRIDs have been in service reliably at four fuelling points since the end of August. By mid-November, two car lanes are to be equipped with SIQMA CRID in the so-called "fast lane" principle. Then, petrol station customers can pay for their fuel quickly and conveniently at 8 fuelling points with a card.  In the final phase of expansion, 4 lanes and a total of 16 fuelling points will be equipped with CRID.

In terms of user-friendliness, great importance was attached to the multilingualism of the customers when equipping the SIQMA CRIDs. The SIQMA CRIDs not only guide the customer visually through the individual operating steps, but also acoustically through the payment process in their own language. Customers can choose from 4 languages how they wish to be addressed. This makes the process as comfortable as possible.

The acceptance of the new devices is very promising. Aral already achieves around 10,000 transactions per month at the 4 CRID-equipped dispensers.
