$4mn government funds for truck washes in Australia
The Australian government has pledged AU$4.6 million (US$3.52 million) to build and upgrade truck wash facilities in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), reports Trailer Magazine.
The funding is part of the country’s Fixing Country Roads program and aims to help remove bottlenecks that constrain logistic businesses and protect NSW against the spread of weeds and disease.
A total of 26 truck wash facilities, including the Northern Rivers Livestock Exchange in the NSW town of Casino, will benefit from the subsidy.
The Australian and New South Wales governments are funding the project on a 50/50 split.

Umh, probably beneficial for quaranteen & disease management purposes, what is the govt doing about fatigue management? Its a huge issue and growing expedentially.
Need more funding for technology to failsafe a mobilized truck from the "nod off" driver syndrome consequences!
