The DFS site, which manufactures component parts that are built into the Tokheim Quantium™ fuel dispenser range, reached 1,000 days without recordable incident on 11 December 2017.

This major achievement was made possible through the strong commitment and drive of the DFS employees and the EHS leadership team. The site recently held a short celebration with all on-site staff to thank them for their commitment to safety and to encourage the continuation of this high standard.

The Grentheville site originally opened in 1968 and was later sold to Tokheim Sofitam Applications in 1997. Following the acquisition of Tokheim by Dover Corporation in 2016, the Grentheville facility operates today as part of DFS. The facility employs 75 people across a broad range of functions including production of payment systems and hydraulic components, mechanical and hydraulic engineering, and hydraulics laboratory testing.

Guillaume Bienvenu, Site Director of DFS Grentheville, noted: “It’s a fantastic result, which in the past may have seemed difficult to realize but thanks to the collaboration, team leadership and safety spirit of each and every one of the DFS employees on site, we have proudly achieved it.”

Mark Husband, Corporate EHS Manager for DFS, added: “These achievements have not happened in a short time, but they are the result of years of commitment and hard work by the team which has cascaded into everything they do. Our approach includes direct engagement with all levels of the workforce as well as encouraging continuous improvement. Furthermore, we now have a pro-active workforce logging near misses, providing us with the catalyst to make a positive change to protect everyone, in line with the Dover Fueling Solutions safety motto of ‘Zero Harm, Greater Good’.
