Canada's Mullen Group acquires DWS Logistics

Mullen Group, one of Canada’s leading transport services providers to oil and natural gas industry, has acquired DWS Logistics.

Ontario-based DWS Logistics provides Value-Added Warehousing and Distribution (VAWD) services which includes warehousing, distribution, order fulfilment, cross docking, and transloading, supported by a robust inventory management system. It has distribution centers in Toronto and British Columbia.

The acquisition is in line with Mullen Group’s 2018 priorities of pursuing acquisitions and accelerating its investments into the non-asset logistics business.

“We expect that DWS will be of immediate benefit by leveraging our Trucking/Logistics network to provide more delivery options to their customers while providing a VAWD solution to our other Business Units' customers," said Mr. Richard J. Maloney, Senior Vice President.

DWS will be operated as an independent unit within Mullen Group's Trucking/Logistics segment and will be headed by Greg Miller, one of the former owners of DWS.
