Pilot Flying J taps GasBuddy platform to enhance guest experience

North American travel center operator Pilot Flying J has selected GasBuddy Business Pages, the mobile app’s B2B Retailer Software-as-a-Service (SaaS,) to further gain market insights and enhance customer experience.

GasBuddy Business Pages is built specifically for the $650 billion retail fuel and convenience store industry, enabling marketers and operations personnel alike to create a ‘Perfect Pit Stop’ for consumers.

“GasBuddy Business Pages gives us an effective way to showcase our Travel Center offerings such as fresh food, free WiFi and clean bathrooms to millions who interact with the GasBuddy platform,” said Pilot Flying J’s Tyler Tanaka, director of marketing.

In addition, the platform, which contains ratings and reviews, foot traffic, and other relevant data, provides fuel retailers and convenience stores with better understanding of business performance at a site level, allowing them to create new strategies to grow market share.

To kick off the Pilot Flying J and GasBuddy’s partnership, the travel center will offer nearly 70 million GasBuddy members the opportunity to win free fuel in a daily giveaway from March 19 – March 25. Members that visit a Pilot or Flying J location during the giveaway and submit a gas price will be prompted to enter the contest.

Entrants have the opportunity to win a $100 Pilot Flying J gift card for the first six days of the contest. On the seventh day, participants will enter to win a grand prize of free fuel worth $2,000 for a year.
