Pakistan's largest fuel farm facility unveiled

Pakistan’s largest and most advanced fuel farm facility was recently unveiled at the New Islamabad International Airport (NIIAP).

Developed jointly by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Attock Petroleum Limited (APL), the state-of-the-art facility will be serving NIIAP, the country’s largest airport.

The facility, covering an area of 12 acres, has a storage capacity of 10,000 metric tons and is equipped with a smart refuelling system.

It has the ability to refuel multiple aircraft in minimal time and is built with latest detection, firefighting, and alarm systems, according to a company release.

“We are proud to indigenously set up this state-of-the-art facility that redefines aviation services within Pakistan. From operations to monitoring & control, and from safety & security to occupants’ welfare, the facility offers the best available systems and equipment to meet the aviation fueling needs,” said Shuaib Anwar Malik, Group Chief Executive Attock Oil Group of Companies & CEO – APL.
