Mexico’s Pemex to supply fuel to more than 200 Petro 7 stations
State-owned Mexican petroleum company, Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), has signed a new medium term supply contract with its gasoline and diesel fuel client, PetroMax SA de CV. PetroMax operates more than 200 stations in Mexico under the brand Petro 7.
The supply agreement reaffirms the two companies’ mutual confidence and commitment to continue working together as trade partners, according to a Pemex news release.
Pemex considers PetroMax as an important ally in the new competitive landscape in Mexico as it continues to promote Pemex fuel brands.
The country’s energy reform has brought a new competition environment and has benefited Pemex, allowing it to win tenders, sign farm outs, and establish strategic relations, according to credit rating agency Moody’s.
