Lebanon: MEDCO launches mobile payments at its gas stations

Lebanese fuel retailer MEDCO has introduced a payment feature to its mobile app. MEDCO Pay allows drivers with Visa or MasterCard to pay for fuel from the comfort of their phones.

The new feature with allow users to have a better control over the quantity of fuel dispensed, increased security in their payments and the comfort of staying in their cars while filling up, according to the company.

With 108 years of experience, MEDCO and Phoenicia have more than 200 service stations where MEDCO Pay, “MENA’s first dynamic QR mobile payment,” is being deployed.

MEDCO worked with Visa and Areeba to upgrade the cardholder’s experience at the pump.
