The plan is in line with ENOC’s appointment as the World Expo’s Official Integrated Energy Partner and the event’s theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’.

The Expo will showcase cutting-edge examples of sustainable energy as well as sustainable practices that can empower communities and safeguard the future of the planet.

“Expo 2020 is a project of national significance to the UAE, as the first ever World Expo to be staged in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region in 167 years of the event,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, vice chairman of ENOC and managing director and chief executive officer of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.

In addition to the petrol station of the future, ENOC will also run a number of ZOOM convenience store outlets on the 4.38 sqkm Expo 2020 site in Dubai South.
