India: HPLC launches diesel delivery services

Indian fuel retailer HPCL has started delivering diesel to the doorstep of customers in Mumbai.

After Indian Oil Corp (IOC), now Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) has launched home-delivery of diesel in Mumbai and has plans to expand it to other parts of the country, reports the Financial Express.

'HP Fuel Connect' will "deliver diesel to select customers having fixed equipment, heavy machinery in their premises in surrounding areas of Uran, Raigad in Maharashtra," said HPCL in a statement.

Last March, IOC launched a home-delivery of diesel in the region of Pune.

A midsized truck equipped with a mounted fuel dispense and a storage truck will deliver diesel directly to people’s homes.

Doorstep delivery of diesel and petrol by oil companies will ensure non-adulterated fuel being supplied in a safe manner and reasonable costs, according to the publication.
