Irish fuel retailer expands in US with 43 CrossAmerica Partners stations deal

Irish forecourt retailer Applegreen is set to expand further in the US market after reaching an agreement to lease a network of 43 petrol stations in Florida from CrossAmerica Partners.

The long-term term lease is expected to complete, subject to a number of conditions, in Q3 2018.

Applegreen believes that the transaction enables it to leverage operational expertise and enhance the retail offering at these locations.

It also further strengthens the fuel retailer’s footprint in the south east following its successful acquisition of the Brandi Group in South Carolina last October.

Applegreen has also continued to invest with seven new sites in the Republic of Ireland, 14 new sites in the United Kingdom, and three new sites in the US.
