Petroleum transporter looking to switch entire fleet to renewable diesel
Fuel Delivery Services, Inc. (FDS), a Stockton, California-based bulk transporter of refined petroleum products, is looking to switch its entire fleet of trucks to renewable diesel at all of their locations.
The plan has been made based on a test of Neste MY Renewable Diesel in 20 of FDS trucks that used more than 100,000 gallons of the fuel. The trucks experienced an overall increase in fuel economy, less maintenance of their emissions systems and an increase in engine power, reports FDS President David B. Atwater.
FDS, according to a company release, recently switched its Stockton-based fleet of trucks to Neste MY Renewable Diesel™.
“It was an easy decision for us to switch to this cleaner burning fuel because we didn’t have to make any additional investments or modifications to our equipment”, says Atwater.
Neste MY Renewable Diesel is manufactured entirely from renewable and sustainable raw materials, including wastes and residues from animal and fish fat, as well as used cooking oils and vegetable oils.

Can renewable diesel be compatible in latest generation of new diesel engine technology vehicles and still experience an overall increase in fuel economy, less maintenance in emissions systems etc...as new-technology engines being introduced in Europe in 2018, are featuring with four-way catalytic converters.
