Rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) panels are installed to power the 40,002 square feet petrol station.  The panels can generate 120kWh energy a day – making approximately 30 percent more than the average energy required to run the station. The excess power is transmitted back to the main grid of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

A range of services is offered at the station including electric vehicle charging facilities, automated fuel system, eight digital dispensers as well as a drive-thru ATM and retail facilities.

ENOC had previously announced that all future service stations will be powered by solar energy to support the UAE’s long-term strategy to target an energy mix that combines renewable, nuclear, and clean energy sources.
