Denmark Shell chain to roll out improved RON 100 fuel

DCC Energy is introducing an upgrade of Shell V-Power gasoline across its 200 Shell sites.

Last update:

DCC Energy, operator of Shell stations in Denmark, has launched a nationwide upgrade of Shell V-Power gasoline, increasing the octane from 99 to 100. From the end of September, approximately 200 service stations in the network will be offering 100 octane at the pump.

"We continuously improve the quality of our fuel at Shell stations. Last year, the cleaning features of Shell V-Power fuel became a boost, so they clean and protect even more effectively, and we also introduced Shell V-Power Diesel. Now, we have the technical opportunity to lift the quality of the Shell V-Power gasoline by raising the octane from 99 to 100, "says Søren Møller Maretti, Retail Director in DCC Energy.

The delivery of 100 octane to Shell stations begins at the end of August. From the end of September, stations that already have Shell V-Power gasoline will have clean 100 octane fuel at the pump.

"In most cars, a high octane level helps to provide more optimum engine power by allowing a higher compression of the gasoline and air mixture," said Møller Maretti.
