Repsol and El Corte Inglés will open 1,000 convenience stores
Spain’s largest network of service stations will soon have more than 1,000 new convenience stores.
Repsol and El Corte Inglés will open 1,000 Supercor Stop&Go stores at the Spanish oil company’s service stations over the next three years.
Both companies signed a strategic agreement last year to create the largest network of convenience stores in Spain. Currently, there are 100 Supercor Stop&Go stores operating at Repsol petrol stations, reports Europa Press.
“This project allows us to innovate, improve our differential offer and continue to adapt to our clients’ needs – all that side by side with a partner of great reputation,” said María Victoria Zingoni, Genera Manager of Repsol’s downstream operations.
Repsol has the biggest fuelling network in Spain with some 3,400 service stations. The convenience stores will be built in its owned sites as well as at flagship locations.
The move represents a major step for Spain’s petrol station market. The development of a modern and attractive convenience offering has been slower than in most countries around Europe.
