From product to platform

Fortech is embracing the connection of different solutions, physical HW as OPT, to software cloud platforms that run in, through and around them, as the focus of value creation for the business. What does this mean practically? That choosing an outdoor payment terminal by Fortech allows the entrepreneur to drastically improve the performance and the management easyness of its site.

smartOPT | One Touch, the payment terminal is in fact integrated with an evolved web platform (SiteManager) and assistance platform (help desk and customer care), which make management simple, business data reading advanced and support efficient. The help desk allows you to have a great ally you can always count on. On the other hand, SiteManager allows access to all system data in real time on both PC, tablet and smartphones.

A fingerprint sensor has been installed to enable Backoffice menu and open the banknote compartment by simply placing a finger on the reader.

Equipped with contactless payment system, smartOPT | One Touch allows you to refuel with a single tap on the screen.

The terminal is not only used to pay for any kind of fuel, but can be used also for:

  • EV recharge payments

Ecosystem thinking 

When the service station becomes a multi energies and multiservices platform, ecosystem thinking becomes essential. A great example of this is the Fortech approach to EV charging, that allows management of the entire infrastructure, connection to AC & DC recharge stations of different brands enabling payments by app, web platform and terminal.

Depending on the amount of space and budget it is possible to choose between e-smartOPT and OPTcompact. They both facilitate the payment of an EV recharge with credit, debit and private cards, emulating the same user experience of service stations with pre-authorization flow, already tried and tested by customers for traditional refueling.

e-smartOPT is the smart kiosk to managing, at the same time, several charging points in self-service. The terminal accepts payments with financial, fuel and fleet cards, mobile payment and contactless, without any user registration on apps and/or web portals. Once the recharge is completed, e-smartOPT can send digital receipt or invoice to be received by SMS directly on your smartphone.

For a user experience as easy as traditional self-service refueling, e-smartOPT uses a specific flexible infrastructure. The Fortech Electric Gateway (FEG) manages the entire infrastructure of the EV recharge areas, from the recharge station to the outdoor payment terminal, from  the mobile app to the issuing of electronic invoices. The FEG is open to all the CPO (Charge Point Operator) and e-MSP through standard communication protocol, allowing freedom integration with third-party systems.

A compact device for a large business

If e-smartOPT is designed for petrol stations with numerous charging stations and parking management, OPTcompact is the innovative compact terminal, only slightly larger than a smartphone, for managing EV recharges. Equipped with a magnetic stripe, chip and contactless reader, the terminal enables all different cashless payments, without any user registration on apps and web portals. OPTcompact allows to manage DC or AC stations. The device can be installed embedded on the recharge point, wall mounted or on it dedicated stand.
