Renault and Repsol sign accord to push sales of LPG vehicles
The Renault group and oil company Repsol have signed an accord to work together to increase sales of LPG-fueled vehicles by the Renault-Dacia dealer network, according to a report published March 10 by Spanish news agency EFE which also said that Repsol is expanding its LPG network of selling points at a rate of 100 new ones per year.
The agreement builds and expands on a similar accord signed mid-2014 where both groups said they were going to work to promote LPG as it could represent savings of 40% compared to conventional vehicle fuel.
There are some 37,000 vehicles in Spain running on LPG which is a figure that pales in comparison to 24 million LPG-fueled vehicles sold annually worldwide, the report said.
