Pemex signs contract to buy 120 million liters of ethanol
State oil Mexican company Pemex on April 7 signed contracts to buy some 120 million liters of ethanol annually, the company said, according to a report from April 8.
The contracts were signed with Alcoholera de Zapopan, Bioenergéticas Mexicanos, Mexicanos; Soluciones en Ingeniería Naval, Marina y Terrestre; Destiladora del Papaloapan, Productores de Bioenergéticas y Fabricación de Alimentos Tenerife. All these companies won bidding called by Pemex last year. The results of that bidding were disclosed in March, Pemex said..
Ethanol is being added because of its capacity to help reduce emissions.
