Seven & I eyes more convenience stores in Japan, more record profits ahead

Seven & i Holdings said it will open more convenience stores and that it also expects more record profit ahead, according to a report published by Reuters news agency on April 2.

"We want to foster growth through aggressive investment in Japanese and U.S. convenience stores," Seven & i President Noritoshi Murata told a news conference, Reuters said.

The company is planning a net increase of 1,100 stores to 18,600 during this year, the report said.
