ADNOC to regulate the sale of LPG cylinders in Abu Dhabi

Customers in Abu Dhabi have until September 8 to register for free with energy giant ADNOC Distribution to be able to purchase subsidized LPG cylinders at their service stations.

In an effort to regulate the sale of subsidized LPG cylinders across the emirate of Abu Dhabi, ADNOC has invited customers to register their pre-paid Rahal e-Gas cards.

“We invite all our customers and beneficiaries to register for the free, pre-paid Rahal e-Gas cards ahead of the deadline of 8 September if they wish to benefit from the subsidised rates and set quotas,” said Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNOC Distribution.

“Through this initiative, we aim to streamline the distribution of LPG cylinders to ensure that the benefits are cascaded to a larger number of customers given the rapid urban growth the emirate of Abu Dhabi continues to witness,” he added.

Customers will be able to use the cards to purchase LPG cylinders in all Rahal centres, including ADNOC´s 98 gas stations in Abu Dhabi.

The move comes as the UAE seeks to move many functions to smart platforms which will provide a more efficient, safer service to customers.
