G&M Oil plans to beef up its 120 sites across Southern California with Gilbarco’s integrated Passport point-of-sale and media at the pump solution, Applause TV with VNET®.

“Gilbarco was the only supplier who could provide a full suite of EMV-compliant products. With EMV deadlines coming up fast, it’s important to be proactive about the new requirements so that we control upgrade schedules and reap the benefit ahead of competition,” said Julie Jackson, G&M Oil senior vice president and general manager.

The upgrade is also part of the G&M Oil’s broader strategy to standardize all point-of-sale and dispensers with Gilbarco technology.

Gilbarco President Steve Moule said that G&M Oil’s move to adopt the company’s technology will help it achieve EMV requirements.

G&M Oil Co., Inc. was established in 1969 and operates over 140 G&M, Chevron, and Extra Mile convenience stores and filling stations throughout Southern California.

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, meanwhile, is a 150-year-old technology solutions company specializing in retail and commercial gas operations.
