The collaboration is part of Vivo Energy’s plans to further diversify services offered at Shell service stations. Aside from fuel solutions, the company also offers other conveniences such as shops, restaurants, and car wash.

“The partnership with Haltons’ continues to reaffirm what we have always said and believed in – that convenience retail is an extension of our core business at Shell service stations,” said Polycarp Igathe, managing director Vivo Energy.

It will also help Haltons’ Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy chain backed by Fanisi Venture Capital, achieve its ambitious plan to multiply its stores to 200 in the next two years.

Haltons’ Chief Executive Officer, Sam Njuguna is grateful to Vivo Energy and considers the collaboration as “the beginning of a great relationship.”

“This partnership is in line with our business strategy of making sure that we can offer health facilities that are accessible to the common mwananchi, both monetarily and geographically, without compromising on quality,” added Ayisi Makatiani, the managing partner of Fanisi Capital.
