Germany: Marquard & Bahls makes executive board changes

Marquard & Bahls, a German company specialized in energy supply and logistics, has expanded its governing body with the appointment of Anke Schouten as the fourth member of the Executive Board.

With this move the Executive Board of Marquard & Bahls AG has been expanded from three to four members as of February 1.

Schouten´s responsibilities will include supervising the group’s HR activities as well as designing and implementing new organizational structures and processes.

Marquard & Bahls is a Hamburg-based company focused on trading, tank storage logistics, aviation fuelling, dry bulk handling, as well as renewable energies, carbon trading, fuel analysis and gas supply.

The expansion of the Executive Board to four members is a decisive step in the company’s growth strategy in its core activities Oiltanking, Mabanaft and Skytanking.

Additionally, CEO Christian Flach will serve as the Executive Board member responsible for trading again. He hands over the tank storage logistics division to COO Julio Tellechea, who is also responsible for aviation fuelling, dry bulk handling and upstream services.
