Autogas managing director João das Neves said that the three CNG stations located in Ressano Garcia, Marracuene, and the city of Matola, are already under construction, reported AllAfrica.com.

Neves also said that there’s a growing demand for natural gas in the country.

Autogas is supplying to more than 2,500 vehicles, mainly public transport buses, and has seen an increase in the number of natgas-powered vehicles.

Neves added that the government’s belt-tightening measures have urged public transport vehicles to opt for gas as it is cheaper than gasoline and diesel.
