Sheetz tops ‘Best Workplaces for Women’
Sheetz convenience store chain has clinched the top 12 spot in in Fortune magazine’s 100 Best Workplaces for Women rankings, reported CSP Daily News.
The rankings are based on the Great Place to Work Institute’s Trust Index Employee Survey which interviewed more than 137,762 women at Great Place to Work–certified companies.
The Pennsylvania-based c-store chain revealed that 66% of its staff are women, and 64% are in executive or managerial positions.
Aside from fostering a better work environment for women, it has also emerged as this year’s 35th Best Place to Work for Millennials and the top 97 in the 100 Best Companies to Work for.
“We have ideas sessions when employees can tell their ideas to management or communicate issues and brainstorm on improvements. Every time I’ve spoken with management I feel listened to and valued,” said an employee in a Fortune article.
