Aloha Petroleum, operators of Aloha Island Marts, is the first and only retailer in Hawaii to partner with PHA, said Aloha Petroleum President and CEO Richard Parr. The independent gasoline marketer and convenience store operator will promote fruit and vegetable consumption and water as a healthier choice under PHA’s FNV and Drink Up initiatives.

Ricker Oil Company, operators of Ricker’s convenience stores in Indiana, has not only committed to offer healthier food options at an affordable cost but also gives 50 percent discount on all fresh fruit and vegetables purchases to its employees.

Employees of Core-Mark, a leading national food and beverage distributor, will also get wellness incentives through gym discounts and healthier food for company meetings and events.

Core-Mark has also committed to modify merchandizing sets to incorporate healthier options and provide FNV and Drink Up marketing materials to its more than 40,000 retail customers free of cost.

“Half of the U.S. population visits a convenience store every single day, and they’re looking for healthier options more often, which is also more profitable for business. Each of these new partners is stepping up to ensure both consumers and retailers have access to healthier, more accessible options,” said Soler.
