Spar to grow presence in the Netherlands

Continued growth in the convenience format has enabled SPAR to roll out a number of city stores recently, with openings unveiled in the cities of Eindhoven, Zutphen, Breda and Zwolle. But there are new initiatives to increase the brand’s footprint.

In its latest move to grow the presence of the brand, SPAR Netherlands has entered into an agreement with EFR, the operating company of Texaco service stations in the Netherlands, to open SPAR forecourt stores, said the company in a press release.

The new forecourt stores will build on the existing SPAR City store concept, of which 28 are already operational in the Netherlands.
