Canada: 80 c-stores in Ontario to receive alcohol permits
More Ontario stores will be able to sell beer and cider as the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) opens a bidding process for 80 permits.
Eighty more convenience stores will be allowed to sell alcohol in Ontario, Canada, with new authorizations coming their way, reports CBC News.
"This is another step in getting beer and cider into 80 new grocery stores and helping to increase convenience and choice for shoppers across the province," said Ontario finance minister Charles Sousa in a press release.
Currently 130 convenience stores in Ontario are allowed to sell beer and cider, with 70 of them also being able to sell wine.
