US: Nissan to give away free gas to promote e-car

Nissan will give away free fuel in five states to encourage the public to do away with gas and join a growing movement of all-electric vehicle (EV) ownership. The promotion called "Kick Gas" will be offered at gas stations in Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey this summer.

To know which stations give free fuel, consumers should follow Nissan and #KickGas on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Winners of free gas are encouraged to post about their experience on social media and use #KickGas hashtag.

"Nissan pioneered the mass-market EV moment and is steadily building the EV charging infrastructure across the country. We're bringing the freedom of fuel-free driving that LEAF owners throughout the world know so well," said Brian Maragno, director, Nissan EV Sales and Marketing.
