Stripes partners with Coke for Día de los Muertos cups
Stripes convenience store chain has partnered with Coca-Cola to launch special commemorative cups as part of the celebration of Día de los Muertos, a Mexican holiday that honors the dead and takes place from October 31 to November 2.
The two new-limited edition cups are exclusive to Stripes Stores throughout Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, and priced at $2.99 with first fill included.
Each cup was designed by two Texas artists who were also commissioned to design the special cups released last year, stated a company release.
Elisa Kyle Gilp, a 30-year-old South Texas native who specializes in Día de los Muertos art, designed the bright green cup, while the red tumbler was designed by 25-year-old Christian Lain, a professional tattoo artist who lives in Corpus Christi.
