Exxon Mobil's payment app now works with Apple Watch

Drivers will now be able to pay for fuel through their Apple Watch after Exxon Mobil added the service to its Speedpass+ app.

After adding Appley Pay to to the Exxon Mobil Speedpass+ payment app, the latest upgrade will also allow users to pay with their Apple Watches.

“With the latest version of Speedpass+, you can leave your iPhone nearby in the car or in your pocket and complete the transaction entirely from your Apple Watch. Just pick the correct pump number when you’re at the gas station then complete the transaction with Apple Pay and you’re set,” writes Zac Hall for 9T05Mac.

The Speedpass+ mobile app is used in around 1,000 Esso gas stations in Canada, and more than 6,000 Exxon- and Mobil-branded retail stations across the U.S.
