Applegreen, which so far only has one executive lounge in its Irish fuelling network, is planning to expand the number of such facilities that offer corporate motorists a quieter place to relax and work.

"Many business customers come in and have meetings there,” Applegreen´s chief operating officer Joe Barret told the Sunday Times.

The company´s COO explained that Applegreen will develop these executive lounges overtime, as they see a demand for comfortable, quite places where business people can relax and work.

“All the facilities are free to use and it's set up for being able to link in with wi-fi, recharge your laptop, and it has desk spaces to let people easily work whole out of their office . . . We think it's a great facility and we've got a lot of positive customer feedback about it,” added Barret.
