Switzerland: Migrol AG rolls out new payment app

autoSense Fuel App is now available across 100 Migros AG gas stations in Switzerland.

Swiss petrol station chain Migrol AG is introducing the ‘autoSense Fuel App’ at its more than 300 sites. With the autoSense Fuel App, Swiss motorists now have the option of quick and convenient payment by smartphone when refuelling.

Customer can access the nearest Migrol petrol station directly via the app, selecting the petrol pump and activating it. After filling up, payment is made automatically using the credit card or Migrol fuel card with an electronic fuel receipt generated.

Since January 2019, Migrol petrol stations have been gradually equipped with the necessary systems to allow the app payments.

"We implement solutions that network car and gas station and are thus tailored to the needs of our customers. Together with autoSense, we are taking a step into a mobile future," says Simon Jossi, Head of Mobility at Migrol.

The autoSense Fuel App works with and without an adapter and can now be used at over 100 Migrol petrol stations. The remaining sites will follow shortly.

The payment data is neither accessible for autoSense nor for third parties. The payment processing is carried out by the certified billing partner. Apart from the fuel receipts in the app, payment data is neither stored in the autoSense Fuel app nor on servers.
