English Español Thailand: Bangchak launches biodiesel at over 400 service stations

Following the trend in Thailand towards B10 and E20, Bangchak has made the palm oil-based biodiesel available at all its stations.

Last update:

Thai retailer Bangchak now sells “Hi Diesel S B10” at its more than 400 service stations across the country.

Enhanced by Green S technology and quality additives, the new biofuel choice boasts a higher cetane number, keeps car engines clean, maximizes their performance, reduces smog and PM2.5 dust problem, and also boost palm prices for farmers.

The Energy Ministry has promoted the use of crop-based fuel in support of farmers. B10 biodiesel, for example, uses palm oil in its production while E20 is the gasohol that actively uses sugarcane and cassava as its ethanol.

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, chief executive officer and president of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, says his firm has constantly developed its businesses through technology and innovations for the purposes of giving Thais clean energy.

The Energy Ministry wants to make B10 available at all service stations across the country from 1 March 2020 onward.
