HYGO, a company founded by Morbihan Energies and ENGIE Solutions, is expanding the hydrogen filling infrastructure in France’s Southern Britanny with the opening of a new hydrogen station in the town of Vannes, according to a company’s press release.

Located at a Michelin site, Vannes station will supply green hydrogen to light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. Constructions works will start in June this year, with the opening schedule for October 2021.

With the support of ADEME and the Brittany Region, the green hydrogen will be produced through water electrolysis using electricity from renewable sources.

In addition to green hydrogen, Vannes station will feature charging points for electric vehicles, says the release.
