Gas natural vehicle (GNV) filling infrastructure continues expanding in France’s New Aquitaine region with the commissioning of a new bioGNV station in Damazan, Lot-et-Garonne department. Strategically located between Bordeaux and Toulouse, the station is scheduled to open in mid-April 2021.

Bio-GNV du Confluent is the association responsible for constructing and operating the future Damazan station. The entity has the target to deploy four bioGNV stations in the Lot-et-Garonne department by 2022.

Located in the heart of the Confluence Business Park, the Damazan station will distribute exclusively locally produced bioNGV in three refilling areas. Designed to accommodate up to 40 HGVs per day.

Teréga, France’s leading independent gas infrastructure operator, will connect the location to the gas network, marking the company’s first connection of an NGV station to the transport network.

Last GNV filling stations to be put into operation in the New Aquitaine region are the Langon and Boulazac sites, launched by Gaz’up at the beginning of this month.

Bio-GNV du Confluent SAS was formed by the association of the AVERGIES semi-public company, created by the Territoire d’Energie 47 union, and the Pujol Group through its subsidiary Nature Gaz.
