English Español Spain: Redexis to develop hydrogen station network in Barcelona

The hydrogen filling stations will be installed in the metropolitan area of the city. The project is part of the Hydrogenizing BCN initiative.

Redexis, an integrated energy infrastructure company dedicated to the deployment of gas, will develop an infrastructure of hydrogen refuelling stations in several locations in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, Spain, as part of the Hydrogenizing BCN initiative, according to a press release.

Hydrogenizing BCN aims to implement a green hydrogen economy in the port of Barcelona and its metropolitan area. The initiative envisages an initial production of green hydrogen from 20 MW of electrolysis capacity which could be increased to 120 MW.

Hydrogenizing BCN is being promoted by Kopala International and Resilient Group with the institutional support of the Barcelona Port Authority. Along with Redexis, more than 20 national and international companies are part of this multistakeholder collaboration, including Hyzon Europe, the fuel cell truck manufacturer.

Redexis is an integrated energy infrastructure company dedicated to the development and operation of natural gas and distribution networks, the distribution and commercialisation of liquefied petroleum gas and the promotion of gas vehicles and renewable gases.
