English Español Wolftank consolidates its position in the Latin American market

Wolftank Latinoamérica, the Sao Paulo-based company belonging to the Wolftank-Adisa Group, is gaining a foothold in the region. The firm combines the quality of its globally recognised brand with the extensive local market experience of the Brazilian team.

A large part of its business is focused on tank lining solutions and the internally developed double wall system, DOPA®. However, all group's business lines are already being introduced in the Latin American market, from environmental remediation services to renewable energy projects such as hydrogen.

The origin of Wolftank Latinoamérica

Wolftank Latinoamérica represents the Austrian group in the region and it was established in February 2020. Despite the special circumstances due to the global health situation during that year, the Latin American team knew from the beginning how to efficiently present its portfolio to the market, always defending a way of working based on high quality and commitment to the customer.

The Brazilian company is headed by Matteo Ciarapica and it has a team of professionals with extensive experience in the tank coating sector. Regarding the challenge of this project, Ciarapica comments: "The project was born in a very particular context, but this circumstance only made the team strongly unified, and they are doing an excellent job of consolidating the Wolftank brand in this area".

Energy transition and service stations in the Brazilian market

The global health crisis has accelerated the digital transformation and the development of alternative energies in the Latin American market as well. In the Brazilian case, the energy matrix had already been undergoing a process of change for some years and had brought with it an increase in the use of renewable energies, such as sugar cane ethanol, hydroelectric, wind and solar energy. Today, there are great opportunities in the country for the evolution of new energy sources, including hydrogen and LNG.

In the specific case of refuelling stations, expectations are also extremely positive, as there are around 40,000 in Brazil.

What does Wolftank offer the Latin American market?

One of the great advantages of the Brazilian team is that it also offers its solutions outside Brazil. With strong relationships already established in countries such as Colombia and Mexico, the company acts as a gateway to Wolftank across the continent.

Wolftank has the knowledge and experience to refurbish, renovate, modernise and create fuel facilities, but in addition, sectors such as pulp and paper, food and beverage and chemicals are growing areas that are already calling on the company's services as well. Resins specially designed for the storage of drinking water are a clear example of the diversity of sectors in which the company is already working.

Finally, business lines focused on environmental services and renewable energies complement a broad offering that, over time, is expected to expand across the continent.

Wolftank's future on the continent

Crises always bring opportunities. Good trade relations between the countries of the region promote an exchange based on cooperation. And there is no doubt that the opportunities are immense: countries such as Chile have embarked on ambitious green hydrogen development programmes. The impact of such plans will go beyond national borders.

Within this framework of change, Wolftank brings innovation and technology. It also has a very deep knowledge and understanding of the market’s necessities and demands. Customers will find in it a loyal, solid and committed partner for the protection of their facilities. In addition, they will be working with an environmentally friendly supplier.

For all this and much more, who says it is not time to be optimistic?
