Philippines: Petron Stations launch exclusive motorcycle lanes

The motorcycle lane program will continue to expand to other Petron stations after a succesfull initial period.

Petron Corporation is trialling exclusive motorcycle lanes at select Petron service stations in the Philippines.

The exclusive motorcycle lane, which also caters for tricycles, ensures greater safety by separating smaller vehicles from larger ones while providing faster transactions, according to Petron.

The roll out of the service began last April 15 at 135 Petron stations across the Philippines, including Metro Manila, Baguio City and Olongapo City.

The motorcycle lane program will continue to expand to other Petron stations in Luzon and Vismin in the coming months.

“As the industry leader, Petron appreciates the staunch support of Filipino motorists. In particular, it recognizes the fast-growing motorcycle community and is continuously developing products and services that are responsive to their needs,” said the company in a press release.

Petron has a retail network of around 700 service stations.
