English Español PKN Orlen to rebrand Star petrol stations in Germany

Seven stations have already been rebranded, and another seven will be added by the end of the year.

PKN Orlen will have 14 petrol stations in Germany under its own brand before the end of the year. It was announced by company CEO Daniel Obajtek at the rebranding of a Star site near Berlin. Orlen has almost 600 stations in Germany under the Star brand.

“We have decided that all new and modernised petrol stations in Germany will be under Orlen brand," Obajtek said.

Seven stations have already been rebranded this year and another seven will be added by the end of the year. He added that the company's standardised petrol stations are its flagship in Poland.

The PKN Orlen CEO stressed that retail is "very important in the company's strategy" and "we are developing this retail all the time". Obajtek added that the company plans to allocate about PLN 15 billion over the next 10 years for the development of the retail segment.

The Polish company’s target is to raise the total number of stations from 2,800 to 3,500.
