Cepsa Química launches a new generation of sustainable products

The new developments will be marketed under the NextLab and NextPhenol brands.

Cepsa Química is launching a new sustainable and innovative offer that introduces renewable and recycled raw materials in the manufacture of its main industrial products.

The advances made in R&D in recent years have made it possible to develop this new range of products, under the NextLab and NextPhenol brands, the first developments of which are being launched on the market this month. In the coming years, other products of sustainable origin and with an improved environmental footprint will be added to the portfolio.

The company is a pioneer in the manufacture of phenol from renewable and recycled raw materials, which allows, in the latter case, the use of materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill, incorporating them back into the production circuit, in the purest concept of the circular economy. Phenol is mainly used in the automotive, construction and pharmaceutical industries, among others.

This is a comprehensive project that includes a plan to reduce direct and indirect CO2 emissions, exclusively renewable electricity consumption, and the gradual incorporation of renewable and recycled sources that is now being launched.
