Unimot Group celebrated Avia’s fifth anniversary in Poland with the opening of its 100th service station. The brand has grown its network by adding 15 new sites over the course of 2022. The Avia network has been present in the Polish market since opening its first station in Łomża back in June of 2017.

“As a member of the Avia International association, we are very pleased to be able to introduce this Swiss fuel station brand, which has a 90-year history, to the Polish market. Our initial ambitious plans to have 100 stations in 2020 were thwarted by the pandemic, but we have nevertheless managed to reach this number of stations this year and we do not intend to stop there. We assume that realistically the number of stations at the end of 2023 could be around 150 facilities," said Adam Sikorski, CEO of Unimot.

In addition to the 100th station, the second one opened in Słubice, the brand has inaugurated forecourts in Mielec, Bełchatów, Skarżysko-Kamienna, Stargard, Kobyłka, Odolion, Makowiec, Bobrowniki, Łopuszno, Grabki Duży, Chociw, Brzeźnik, Torzym and Łazy. 11 of them have been equipped with the Eat&Go catering concept.

“We are not slowing down the pace of development and in recent months we have been working intensively to reach the number of 100 Avia fuel stations across Poland in the first half of the year. At the same time we are developing our Eat&Go concept and testing the Spar supermarket format at our stations - we can already say that we are satisfied with the initial results of this pilot," added Robert Nowek, Managing Director of the Avia network in Poland and Ukraine.

Avia station network comprises 100 facilities throughout Poland, which operate mainly in medium-sized and small towns. Avia is also extending its activities to the largest agglomerations and tourist destinations - stations operate, among others, in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań and Zakopane.
