Plenoil has opened a new automated service station in Gran Canaria, the first foray of the company into the islands. This inauguration is part of the company’s expansion strategy of its fuel retail network, which currently consists of a total of 122 locations.

The new installation is equipped with three pumps and three car wash installations and will have personnel present ten hours a day for its first year. Thanks to this new opening, the firm seeks to expand its customer base by expanding outside continental Spain.

According to José Rodríguez de Arellano, CEO of Plenoil, the firm has entered the new territory so that customers in Agüimes can “enjoy their journeys by filling up at petrol stations that guarantee the most competitive prices and the highest quality fuel”. In an official press release published by local news site La Vanguardia, the company representative also highlighted the low prices at its stations, where customers “can amount to 300 euros a year for an average consumer".

The new site is equipped with completely automated facilities to maximise convenience when drivers refuel. In addition, it also has an app that lets customers see and download all their bills, check their monthly consumption and a list of all the branded stations with updated prices.

Plenoil currently operates a network of forecourts present in Galicia, Castilla-La Mancha, Comunidad Valenciana, Andalucía, Asturias, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Comunidad de Madrid y Región de Murcia. The firm aims to enlarge its footprint in the next years and reach a total of 300 service stations in 2024.
