Last update:

Charge Point Operator (CPO) PowerGo and the Danish EV charging platform Spirii recently won three tenders for the installation of charging stations in Denmark. A total of 178 charging outlets will be deployed in the municipalities of Vejle, Vejen and Gladsaxe.

As the first projects that PowerGo will start in Denmark, the process is set to be completed during 2023. The company will deploy, manage, and operate the sites using its partner’s EV charging platform.

‘’The realisation of the charging points in the municipalities is an important milestone for PowerGo, as part of our ambition to realise a large-scale public charging network across Europe. We are excited and look forward to starting these very first projects in Denmark together with Spirii, and make charging easier and more fun for every EV driver.’’, said Ivo van Dam, CTO of PowerGo.

The chargers will be installed by Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Kemp & Lauritzen. Spirii will also provide the charging and payment app for all EV drivers to easily access the chargers. The technology embedded in the app is key to why PowerGo has chosen Spiriis international charging platform to operate the charging points.

“We are extremely happy to see PowerGo enter the Danish market and deliver a user-centric charging solution. As a preferred charging platform, we’re honoured to enable the ambitions of PowerGo to deploy and scale a charging network across Europe – offering EV drivers great convenience and easy access to charging and payment,” added Tore Harritshøj, Co-founder and CEO of Spirii.

A total of 40 AC charging outlets will be deployed in Vejle, 54 AC chargers and one DC charging station with 4 outlets will be installed in Gladsaxe, and 84 AC charging outlets will be deployed in Vejen.
