The equipment has been integrated into a Shell forecourt at the German capital as one of the most efficient installations for alternative energy refueling.

Last update:

H2 Mobility has opened a new hydrogen station in Germany at a Berlin Shell service station located in Tempelhofer Weg 102.  The inauguration event was celebrated in the presence of Dr. Volker Wissing, Federal Transport Minister. From now on, fuel cell trucks, garbage collectors as well as cars and light commercial vehicles will be able to refuel hydrogen at the site.

With over 850 kilograms of hydrogen, the forecourt  is one of the most efficient stations in Europe and crucial for the further ramp-up of hydrogen mobility in the capital. Berlin is currently one of the territories  with the fastest growing volume of H2 vehicles in Europe.

"With hydrogen at 350 bar, heavy commercial vehicles with e-drives can already refuel at megawatt speeds - for example here at Tempelhofer Weg in Berlin. Our goal is to add up to 120 more locations across Germany in the next four years," said Nikolas Iwan, Managing Director of H2 Mobility Germany.

After completion of the standard optimization operation, the hydrogen filling station is now available for regularly refueling at 350 bar for buses and trucks, and at 700 bar for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and refuse collectors.
