English Español MOL sells 39 service stations to Shell in Slovenia

The deal is part of the Group’s conditions to achieve the acquisition of a 92.25% stake in OMV Slovenia.

Last update:

MOL Group has concluded the sale of part of its fuel retail network in Slovenia to Shell. The transaction covers a total of 39 locations, both from MOL Slovenia and the OMV network.

This is one of the key milestones in the process of obtaining the European Commission's approval for the previously announced acquisition of OMV Slovenia.

With this step, MOL confirms its commitment to meet all the market competitiveness requirements set by the Commission and is ready to complete the acquisition of a 92.25% stake in OMV Slovenia in the coming months.

"We are confident that the acquisition of the OMV network will strengthen our competitiveness on the Slovenian market, as we will be able to exploit the full production, logistics and processing capacities of the MOL Group in the wider Central European region to a greater extent than today," said Robert Pitt, President of Retail at MOL Group.

The sale’s completion of the Slovenian Mol and OMV stations is subject to the acquisition license. In the meantime, all services provided to customers at all petrol stations remain unchanged.
