Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) has partnered with the Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank), a digital bank in the United Arab Emirates, to launch the “Mbank Wallet” services across over 120 stations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Customers will soon be able to enjoy the convenience of seamless and contactless payment transactions at Emarat stations on fuel and convenience store “Freshplus” products. They will only need to scan the QR code at the checkout counter using their phones.

Moreover, through Mbank Wallet, consumers will gain access to a set of services that will enable them to earn and shop with MPoints, get exclusive offers from the Mbank Lifestyle Club, and redeem rewards.

“We are proud of Emarat's distinguished reputation as a customer-centric brand that consistently explores new technologies and innovations to enhance customer satisfaction. We believe that this partnership with Mbank will greatly enhance the customer experience at our stations, as it introduces flexible, secure and seamless alternative payment solutions,” said Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, Director General at Emarat.

Mbank Wallet is the first digital wallet in the United Arab Emirates that has been approved and licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE. Users are not required to create a bank account to use it, enabling them to open an account with their Emirates ID and issue money transfers to and from other UAE banks via IBAN number only.
