OXXO has launched contactless payments across its convenience stores to allow customers to complete their purchases via a smart device.

The service is currently enabled in 10,000 stores throughout Mexico. Coverage will double between December and the first quarter of 2024.

"With the enabling of 'Contactless' in these first stores, at OXXO we endorse our commitment to innovation and financial inclusion, making our customers' lives easier, offering them a way to pay not only faster, but also safer," said Santiago Rivera, Commercial Director of OXXO Services.

In addition, this initiative will offer customers a new feature, allowing them to make purchases for less than $250 pesos without having to enter their PIN.

With actions like this, OXXO confirms its commitment to improve the value proposition to its customers, increasing alternatives to optimize and streamline their payments at the cash register.
