Uganda gets upgraded Shell Select Stores as part of refurbishment program

Vivo Energy, the company that distributes and markets Shell branded fuels and lubricants in Africa, has opened the newly upgraded Shell Select Store –which includes a coffee shop and restaurant-- in Shell Jinja Road in Kampala, Uganda, as part of a broad refurbishment program which will last all year.

“The company has invested in a program to refurbish Shell Select stores to offer a wider range of services to both customers who fuel and service their vehicles at Shell as well as walk in customers,” Vivo said in a statement issued June 4.

“We have identified 18 priority sites in Uganda that are undergoing an upgrade to offer extra services to our customers, including basic groceries, coffee on the go, or a quick meal. We have upgraded five shops so far, but our plan is to open all to the public by December 1 2015,” the company added.
