ChargePoint brings EV home chargers to Amazon

Electric vehicle (EV) network company ChargePoint is making EV charging more accessible by launching its first home charging product on Amazon.

ChargePoint Home is available on Amazon with prices ranging from $499 to $749 depending on the specific power options.

“Customers choose our stations for their reliability, connectivity and convenience. Now, EV drivers can access the power of ChargePoint from their own home,” stated ChargePoint CEO Pasquale Romano.

ChargePoint takes a step forward in what experts say is the key to the success of the EV industry: accessible domestic charging point. However, high prices remain a major barrier for low and middle income households.

“The future of our homes, our cars and our lifestyles will be smarter and more connected because of products like ChargePoint Home. This station is unlike any other on the market, and it will change the way people think about driving, home charging and smart energy management,” added Romano.

Features of the home charging station include the ability to control operation of the station via a smartphone app, the ability to integrate the station´s operations with Nest products, and access to the ChargePoint network.

ChagePoint has a network of more than 22,300 total charging spots and over 140 Express DC fast charge locations.
